Christmas wishes

  This is the time of year when the focus of my world seems to go almost no further that my own home, I reflect on my blessings and I am filled with a feeling of calm.  Life is full of stress and challenges, we all need a little Christmas cheer to help center us and remind us that there is a greater purpose than finances and accolades.  Enjoy the season.

I am thankful for stable employment
I am thankful for my health
I am thankful for the desire to create art
I am thankful for My Wife and Daughter
I am thankful for the miracles that God has bestowed on me

  Happy Friday!  I love to say that, it never gets old.  I haven't posted in a while so here are five things you may not know about me.

I don't look my age

I consider myself to be athletic

I DO windows and floors and dishes and lawns and ....

I can ski on snow but not on water

I have a love / hate relationship with my cell phone

Autumn in Southern Cal

  Often in life, we don't appreciate what we have, whether it be our friends or our gifts or our surroundings.  I grew up in Southern California and I sometimes I need a day like the one I spent with a friend this past week, just walking on a Newport shoreline, to re appreciate what is available to me.  As a photographer it is incredible!

The lil suitcase

  Sometimes we pick up something at a garage sale on impulse because "look it's only a buck", well I picked up an old suitcase for 10 bucks with the intention of using it as a prop for a model shot, since then I've used it a few times and it delivers!  Well maybe it's the model that delivers but I'd like to think that the lil suitcase provided the right "motivation".

  And yet another five things to know about me.

I love a good heist flick
I dance better in my head than on the dance floor
I have a record collection....yes vinyl
I don't like to eat anything that I can neither chew nor swallow like pudding or yogurt
My biggest dream is that my daughter succeed at whatever she sets out to do

It's so Fluffy!

  There's a lot of great joys that come from having children or in my case a child, one of the lil indulges is the chance to take them to see all the terrific animated films that have been generated in the past two decades.  "Despicable Me" is one of my favorites, it came out this year so you may still be able to catch it in a theater, here's a teaser clip.

    Well the weekend is over, but before we start the work week, I wanted to highlight one of my favorite models that I've had the opportunity to shoot....a few times.  Her name is Ariel and she is great in front of the lens, but I'll let you decide for yourself.  Oh and you may notice that she has "inked" herself, in fact she was recently published in Inked Magazine.

              

It's a LOVE thang

  Good day, I have to reflect on the goodness of today and preface this submission by saying that "It's a Love thang"  Today is great in many ways, starting off with the simplest which is that it's Friday!  TGIF.....say it aloud and it feels good (insert smiley here :) ) Coming off a wonderful evening out with my family where we went to see Train at the Greek Theatre in Hollywood...Awesome show that made me feel a lil like a teenager again and my daughter had a blast! Train did a cover of Aerosmith's "Dream On" that was phenomenal! Then I get some great news from all the way across the Country where my sister lives, she recently had a scare with some skin cancer cells that had to be surgically removed 2 weeks ago, Doc said this morning that it was all gone! (insert more smiley's here)  And last but certainly not least, today is my 22nd wedding anniversary, and like any relationship, its had its fair share of stormy skies, but its had way more sunny days, sometimes it takes rain to truly appreciate the clear sky and Helen I truly appreciate you...Love you babe!

  I came across this behind the scenes video of the making of the new Nissan Leaf electric vehicle and thought I'd share it.  The message is clear that as Global warming is REAL, that we as the people that occupy this planet need to to take actions to help preserve all of its wonder.  This is too nice not to share.

  Sometimes I just ponder on things which are quite obvious yet lost in this busy world, like today, today is my cousin Nichole's birthday, today is my sister Cindy's foot surgery, today is Thursday, today is my daughters first volleyball game of the season, today someone will hit their very first home run, today someone will lose their job, today someone will fall in love, for whatever today is to you, remember above all, that today a gift. 

So now here's another five things about C Squared.

  Hello, I recently had the privilege of shooting with Leianna Kai, she is a singer as well as a beautiful model from Los Angeles.  Standing at 5'3", she has an exotic mix of ethnicity with include Hawaiian, Portuguese, Italian and Irish.  Lei is so talented and professional that she made my job so easy...enjoy.
